I'm Johna (she/they), a Brooklyn-based cartoonist and illustrator creating comics and books for kids and the adults raising them. My work includes early readers, graphic novels, and short-form comics, and has appeared in The New Yorker, MUTHA Magazine, and The Gutter.

Outside of my own work, I write a newsletter to help parents find great high-quality graphic novels for their kids. I hold an MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies and previously worked as a User Experience Designer at Instagram and The New York Times.
