I'm Johna (she/they), a Brooklyn-based cartoonist and illustrator creating comics and books for kids and the adults raising them. My work includes picture books, graphic novels, and short-form comics. Some has appeared in The New Yorker, MUTHA Magazine, and The Gutter.

Outside of my own art, I write a newsletter for lifelong lovers of children's books, helping parents discover exceptional graphic novels and picture books for young readers. I hold an MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies and previously worked as a User Experience Designer at Instagram and The New York Times.
